Christmas menus

When preparing Christmas menus , it's not always necessary to spend a lot of money. There are many options to suit all tastes.

Next, we'll look at some suggestions for all tastes: appetizers, main courses, and desserts.

Snacks on Christmas menus

It's impossible to start a Christmas menu without some good starters . Without getting too complicated, a selection of cold appetizers, lovingly prepared canapés, filled vol-au-vents, etc., will suffice. Some ideas include garlic mushrooms, clams in marinara sauce, mussels in a spicy tiger's sauce, and so on.

Other options include piquillo peppers , which can be eaten hot or cold, stuffed with a wide variety of fillings. Salmon pâté also works well, spread on toast, as do seafood croquettes, and many other ideas.

First courses

The first course could consist of a rich fish or seafood soup, a warm salad of marinated or smoked tuna, a meticulously prepared consommé, etc. Cooked prawns are a must , either grilled, or substituted with king prawns, langoustines, etc.

Main dish

Roast lamb shoulder with potatoes is a classic on Christmas menus . Roast suckling pig is also very popular.

As far as fish is concerned , there are many examples: baked salmon, baked sea bream or sea bass with potatoes, cod in sauce or steamed, salmon or trout in orange sauce, hake stuffed with seafood sauce or in green sauce, etc.

Christmas

If you want a main course that doesn't rely too heavily on meat or fish , a rice dish with lobster might be a good idea.

Desserts

Traditional Christmas sweets, both store-bought and mass-produced, are usually found on most menus. But you can also bake desserts yourself, such as almond soup, nougat mousse, almond cakes or pastries, and so on.

Don't forget a good cava, champagne, cider , or any other sparkling drink to toast with.
